Hi there! I haven’t blogged in forever and a half, but Britts has finally let me have ago. Obviously she hasn’t realised how truly good at this I am. Well anyway.
So over in WA we have a public holiday to day. It was a long weekend, so we got Saturday and Sunday off school like normally, plus Monday, which I think is a pretty good deal. Because Britts didn’t have to go to school we decided to go to Perth city! We had to sit in the car for what felt like hours, because it’s so far away. I read Nancy Drew and looked out the window, so it wasn’t too boring.
When we got to the city we visited a park. We don’t have any pictures, but it has a really cool spinning swing that is like what I think a ship must be like. It sways everywhere!

After we played for a bit we went for a walk around the river. We crossed the Narrows Bridge, which was really scary and fun. It was super windy and the cars go so fast!

After we crossed the Narrows we came across this little underpass thing. It’s a really pretty blue colour and it has red and yellow tiles that are circles.

We kept walking and walking. My legs got so sore!
After ages and ages and ages and forever when finally got in sight of the Bell Tower!
You can just see it in the background of this picture!
The Bell Tower is so cool! It looks like the sails of a ship. And the bells sound so pretty! They played Waltzing Matilda! It was amazing! We couldn’t go inside because the line was soooo long, so we had lunch on the grass by the shore of the Swan River.
Isn’t it pretty? We had so much fun running around on the grass with the sound of the bells in the background! It made me want to practice my dance steps on the grass! I did for a little bit, but so many people were looking at me, and I didn’t want to mess up. It’s hard to dance on the grass!
After lunch and a long play it was time to go home. We walked past the Bell Tower to the ferry. Perth has public transport ferries. It’s like taking the bus or a train, only on the water! The camera battery died before we could take a picture, but it was so much fun! You could look out the window and see all the choppy waves! I’m glad I don’t get seasick!
After we got off the ferry we walked to the car and drove all the way home. I am so tired, but it was worth it!
Love, Amy-Jayne

Two years ago today, I posted my very first post on this website! I’ve had a great two years with you all! I’m very proud to be where I am today, and I’d like to say a very big THANK YOU to you all for being so amazing! Without out you all there would be no Australian Girl Fan. Having this website has given me so many new opportunities! I’d also like to say the very biggest THANK YOU ever to Australian Girl for putting up with all my questions and requests for the last 2 years!

The next surprise is a Giveaway! To make it easier I’ve set up a whole new page just for entering the giveaway, so head over to www.australiangirlfan.com/giveaway to enter! Any entries posted here will be removed, so make sure you comment on the right page!
