Australian Girl Book Launch Party Fun!
Posted by Britts
Hi Girls!
I’m sure you all know what happened yesterday! The Australian Girl Book Launch Party!
The day started off with a fire door being opened, so we all had to evacuate-right in the middle of setting up! Luckily, there was no fire, so we all came right back in!
After the door were opened, every girl was given a food, drink, and party bag token, as well as a label for their doll. Then, every body went over and sat in front of the stage. After Mrs. Schofield talked about Australian Girl for a few minutes, the author, Jacqueline Larsen, read from the first chapter of the book! She really made the characters come alive!
Once the book had been read, it was time to explore! There was so much to do! You could even buy dolls and clothes! (I didn’t end up buying any thing)
You could also make bookmarks, parasols, or a ‘things-I-don’t-want-to-forget-book’ like Matilda’s!
I had a table all about my fan site with my computer and some pictures of my dolls (leave us a comment if that’s how you found my blog)! Next to me was the hairstyle table were I was also helping out. Here you could come and get your dolls hair brushed and styled! It was fun, but hard work! I was working on getting the tangles from one Jasmine’s hair for half an hour!
I’m sure you all want to see what I got, right?

Thanks to my sister for letting me show you her book mark and parasol! Can you see my book? Both Mrs. Larsen and Mrs. Schofield signed it for me!
Amy-Jayne wore her pants from Pumpkin Patch , the shirts, shoes, and head band from the old Skirt Set (thanks Dian!). Jasmine wore a skirt from the op-shop, and the AuG Pink Casuals. Both Jasmine and Rose put on their Vest Set tank tops. Rose layered hers with a strapless top that I made, and a denim skirt I also made. She also had her Classic Flats on. Don’t they look cute!
Did you go to the Party? What did you like best about it? What did you dolls wear?
Keep smiling!
Love, Britts, Amy-Jayne, Rose, and Jasmine.

I was there! I arrived after the whole fire thing. My friend and I went together. I bought my Belle and Matilda and she had Emily.
It was so much fun!
Hi Jess,
I wonder if I saw you? :P

I wonder as well! I hadn’t heard of you then:( Wish I had!
Hi, I live in America and have American girl dolls but I’m on the AGFMB and saw your blog and thought I’d drop by. Loved reading about this. It’s cool!
Glad to see the girls are enjoying the skirt set!!! Hope they had a great time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
si3Y2W I’m ipmresesd! You’ve managed the almost impossible.
The party certainly was great fun! Amazing to see so many girls and dolls all together, and the fire engine just added to the atmosphere! Sadly, the battery in my camera died so I wasn’t able to get any pictures. (I hope some of the readers will send some in so Britts can share them with us.) The book was great, too, especially after hearing the beginning at the party, but I want to know what happens next time the girls get together. (Hint! Hint! to Jacque. More books please!)
I can’t wait ’till they publish the pictures!!
I didn’t take any pictures either!
