In August I had been looking for bunk bed designs for my doll room. I found lots of possibilities, but there was one that I liked the most. I found it on a website called Ana White, Homemaker. Ms. White’s website is full of great DIY projects for around the house, but she also has a few doll sized projects. I decided that her bunk-bed plans where the best I had seen so far, so I printed them off and showed them to my dad.
Dad took one look at them and decided that dolls don’t need a ladder, rails, or such thick wood, so he kinda made up his own design, but kept some of the measurements. The bed fits an 18 inch doll perfectly, but is a little too small for Australian Girls. Dad was going to make the beds a few inches lounger, but somehow that didn’t happen. After a lot of messing around, we finished the beds in December.

They look really nice in my doll’s room! If you look at the picture you can see where each of my dolls sleeps (Matilda has a single bed on the other side of the room)!
I really like how my doll room looks now! If you would like to make Ana White’s doll bed visit Ana-White.com, and you’ll find everything you need to know!

Because there is currently no doll furniture available from Australian Girl I will be collecting doll sized furniture plans and posting them in my ‘Doll Furniture Guide‘. If you would like to add any furniture plans you have found (or designed!) send me an email with the link! australiangirlfan@gmail.com

The Ana White bed is great but you need to make it about 5 inches bigger all around to make our Australian Girls fit in it! It is snug for even 18 inch American Girl dolls! I have one made by my Brother in law and I love it! Just make it 5 inches larger and it is perfect for two dolls!
