Wow! That was like magic! Just last night I posted about the new products, and when I got back from school today there they were!
Wow! The ballet shoes are adorable! They are really cute. They look more like pointe shoes than regular ballet shoes, but most girls start pointe when they are around 10 or 11, so these would be perfect for your dolls very first pair of pointes!
I’m so glad Australian Girl made these! I’m a dancer, so (for obvious reasons), I love them. I think other dancers will really love being able to ‘dance’ with their dolls too, and doesn’t every girl want to be a ballerina for a least a short time in there lives? I personally think that these will be a great seller!
As of now their is no leotard or other dance wear, but I’m sure there will before long! Until then, I’d recommend using the pink shorts and to from the vest set!
Not every dance school (including mine!) requires that you wear a leotard to every class, so the vest set shorts and top would make great dance wear! The vest set is also a great basic outfit anyway!
How cute is the new Lilac Gown? This dress looks great as a special occasions dress. Maybe your doll is a flower girl in a wedding, or has and important party to go to! This dress would also be so much fun for just pretending to be princess or queen.
I think this a really cute dress, particularly for younger (5-8) girls who love to play dress ups. It’s really pretty, but you can’t mix and match with it.
Wow! How cute is the cape! This looks like so much fun! Dress ups seems to be quite popular in all the products for today! Again, I think this will be more popular with younger girls, but it’s still beautiful!
What do you like best out of all the new products? What will you being buying? I know the ballet shoes will be making their way to my place before long! ;D

My dolls are both ballerinas, so I will definitely get the shoes! Also, I’ve been waiting for a dress like that to come out for ages! I like all the new things!
Also, I think that any girl who truly loves their doll will look after it well, no matter what age. My friends think I’m too old for dolls, but I love them:)
I agree with the dress being geared towards younger girls. Personally, I don’t think girls under 8 should own Aussie Girl’s anyway. I’ve never seen 1 girl except for my cousin under 8 that looks after their dolls properly. Australian Girl should change their doll age group from 4+ (that is so wrong) to 8+, like American Girl.
I think it’s really up to the parents and the girls themselves. Some girls take great care of their dolls, others don’t. I know some 12 year olds that take awful care of their dolls, and younger girls (6-7-ish) that are amazing ‘mummies’.
There’s also a lot of pressure now days to ‘grow up’ younger. I’ve know 9 year olds that are embraced by their dolls. Having the wider age bracket means that they are more likely to sell dolls.
Some of the things that Australian Girl has released isn’t always perfect (whereas other are!). They are still a new company, and there’s not really any books telling you how to do it. :P

(hope it doesn’t sound like a lecture! That’s not my intention at all! It’s just interesting to discuss this sort of thing :P)
