About
I am a 15-year-old, Christian girl who loves Australia. I am also the oldest of 8.When AG dolls first came out I couldn’t believe it! I really wanted one, but I didn’t think I’d ever get one.
A few days before I got my doll, Amy, I was looking at the AG doll website. I really wanted a doll, so I was trying to choose which one to save for. Then I remembered I had about enough money in the bank. I finally decided to get Amy, but I wasn’t surer if Mum would let me get one. I asked her if we were going to the shops the next day, and If we where if I could look in the shop that sold Amy. The next day I didn’t think I would be getting a doll, But I did! I was looking at Amy and Mum asked if I was SURE I wanted her. It was almost impossible not to open her as we finished the shopping!
I didn’t think I would save for another doll, but I changed my mind! In September 2010 I got Emily (aka Gwen Rose Bethany Tyler). She is beautiful, but Amy is still my favorite!

Around Christmas 2010 I started saving for my next doll. When I had about $60 I realized that I had been thinking only of myself, so I spent all the money on presents for others. I was very sad that there would be no new doll, but I felt sure that I had made the right decision. Four days before Christmas a card arrived in the mail from my 93 year old uncle. In it was $50! I had already saved $15 now that I had covered Christmas presents, and I could get a doll for $80 because of my Aunt’s work giving her a discount at Toyworld. I only needed $15! I crazily ran around the house looking for change, but my dad told me that he and mum would cover the last $15 I needed as a gift! I was overjoyed! On Christmas day 2010 I was excited to welcome Jasmine Cornelia into my doll family!

My life is now perfect. Twas my birthday on Thursday, and I got given a Canon 600D camera. YAY! Then I came home from school today to find a large package sitting on my bed. I asked mum what it was and she smiled and said, ‘Open it!’. I did.
IT WAS EMILY!
I got Emily… Who I renamed Emily-Rose. So happy. :D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see you, like me, are a Whovian:) I am saving up for Emily, who would be the third edition to my doll family.
I have Matilda (Matilda Amelia)
I also have Belle (Belle Tegan)
Emily will be Emily Rose!
Hi Jessica!
Wow that’s so cool that you are a Whovian. I am totally obsessed :P Haha!
I love your dolls names! I hope you get Emily soo!
~Britts xx
Yeah, I am obsessed too!
Dad told me today that he would give me jobs to do around the house and in 5 weeks I will have enough! Yay!
I also do photography with my dolls, and plan to take my photos further:) I use an iPod, but the pics urn out pretty cool.
Haha! Jobs around the house is how I save for my dolls, too! :P
Ipods are great! Do you use instagram? I love all the filters and stuff that it has!
Do you have a point and shoot camera? You can get some point and shoots quite cheap now, and they take really nice pictures! My dad has a Canon IXUS that takes amazing pictures that was only $200 or so!
~Britts xx
No, I just use the camera:)
I also have another goal of saving up for a professional camera – the only ones my dad and I can find are over $1000, a bit out of my price range.
I have loads of questions about lots of stuff but don’t want to clog up the comments. Do you have an email address espessially for things like that?
Thanks!
x Jess
Hi Jess,
The professional cameras are so expensive! I’m looking at the Canon EOS 1100D, which is around $800.
I’m more than happy to answer your questions! My email address is: britts@australiangirlfan.com :D

The photos in my email didn’t attach so I have sent them again attached as a file 😊
Brits,
Your photography is amazing and I’m so proud of you for being brave enough to openly broadcast your Christianity :-) There are so few teens who are Christians, and fewer still who are proud to show their love of Jesus!
I am so glad to hear how your doll journey went for you that Christmas :-) I am warmed by your unselfishness. You are clearly a wonderful young lady.
Yours in Christ, an Australian Girl Doll’s Grandma! (my daughter calls me Granny when she’s playing with her doll, Jasmine Phoebe)
Thank you so much Kerrie! I don’t know what to say! :’)

(I sent this from my hone a while ago, but only just discovered that it didn’t post)
Hi Britts
It is so much easier visiting your blog on our new computer. I still have a sore head when I go under water at Vac swim. I still can’t believe that Em wants to be a diver and goes looking for stuff on the bottom of the pool at swimming lessons.
Bye! twin two. Hi Britts! Have you done any work on the Trixie Belden thing yet? I hope so. twin 1;)

Have you considered applying to be a newpaper writer? Extremely good grammar!
Hello! Quick question that’s entirely off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when browsing from my iphone4. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to correct this issue. If you have any suggestions, please share. Many thanks!
Surfing the waves of the web I am pleasantly stranded in this beautiful blog.

Wow, Britany! I’m very impresed with this site! I got the address today on Facebook (in a message from Australian Girl) and just had to take a look. You’ve done an excellent job here. I really enjoyed looking at the pictures. You mentioned something about getting clothes for AG dolls from Pumpkin Patch. Can you please tell me a bit more about that? (I’m old enough to be hoping for a grandchild any time now so Pumpkin Patch isn’t a shop I’ve been to, though I know they sell trendy kids clothes.) I’d like to know more about G&G magazine too. I’ve never heard of it, but it certainly sounds like something I’d like. Is it an emag? Sory to bombard you with so many questions! I’ve sent a couple of AG dolls to my friend’s daughters in America. Is it okay if I send this site address to them? I’m sure they’d be very interested. Anyway, keep up the good work. You’re doing a great job!
Hi Pat,
Yes, G&G Girls is an E-mag. I started it in May, because I wanted a magazine about Australian Girl Dolls, rather than American Girl Dolls.
Pumpkin Patch is a kids clothing shop, but they also have a range of teddy clothes that fit AGs. They cost for $5-$20 appox. :D You might want to bring a doll in to make sure the clothes fit. ;)
Of course you can send your friends daughters my link :D
Love, BrittanyAmelia
