FAQ

How many dolls do you have? Why don’t you have them all?

I have 5 dolls. Amy (Amy-Jayne), Rose (Emily), Jasmine (Jasmin), Lissie/Fee/Fee-Anna (American Girl Felicity), and Matilda. I plan to get Belle in the future, but dolls cost a lot of money and I don’t have job.

What Camera do you use?

From April 2010 to October 2010 I used a Sanyo 8.1 megapixel point and shoot. From October 2011 until May 2012 I used a FujiFilm FinePix s1800. From October 2011 I began using a Canon IXUS 22HS

Where did you get the leotards?

This is one of my most commonly asked questions. :) They were made for me from a free pattern by Beach Baby Doll.

Why do your dolls dance?

Because I love dance and I enjoy pretending that my dolls do too :)

Why don’t you post as often as you used to?

Quite a few reasons:

  • I’m in highschool! Lots of work for me to keep up with.
  • I spend a lot of time at dance and competitions. (from March to October I’m at a comp every couple of weeks)
  • I no longer have a doll room, so I don’t play with my dolls as much as I used to. :(
  • I’m 16, and I have a lot going on in my life. I’m never going to give up on my dolls, but I’m very busy and can’t find the time when I want to.
  • I don’t have a computer or camera anymore, since they both broke. :(

When will this be finished?

When I have time :)

  1. Hiya, I’ve just recently bought the beautiful Belle and love her. Just wondering if someone can answer a question for me please – are her legs meant to be ‘stiff’ so she can stand up on her own, or loose and floppy? ta :)

    • Each doll has really stiff legs to begin with. I think they use two pieces of elastic when they ‘string’ their legs now. Originally it was only one piece, and the legs were looser. With use they will gradually get more floppy.

  2. hi
what hairstyles can I do on Matilda besides pony’s and plaits

    • There is quite a lot of styles you can do on a doll’s hair. Most things you do in your hair, you can do on your doll, however doll’s hair is a bit thicker and doesn’t plait very well in large chunks.
Things that I like to do on my doll’s hair:
-making two small braids- one from behind each ear and tying them together at the back with a ribbon/luckie (leaving the rest of the hair down)
-simple bun-plait at the back and wind it around itself. I never have any spare pins (I could swear there’s a hair-pin eating hedgehog living in my bedroom) so I use a scruncie to hold it together
-again, two plaits , this time using all the hair and overlap the plaits slightly at the front.
-anything you see on the internet, want to do on yourself but want a practise first. there are some really nice hairstyles around far too complicated to explain here.
Hope that helps! And sorry Britts this is an insanely long comment ;)
